Happy Holidays
I won
third place in the CIE (Chinese Institute Engineering) Math Competition.
It is a thirty question test and they say the top three names on the
test and gives out trophies. I got a really smallest one. It was my
second Math Trophy. (My first one was at Math is Cool Comp. I also got
third.) I was really
proud
of myself. This event was totally unexpected for me. I thought that some
of my other friends were going to win in. My mom told me that I deserve
it because I studied many hours. At the end of the test, we get to have
an airplane competition determining whose airplane could fly the longest
distance and whose airplane could land on the square on the ground
(Target practice) I did not practice for this event, but I was
astonished to figure that I got third in this! At the end they took our
pictures. I did not know why, but it turns out that I was on the Chinese
News Paper!! The way we celebrated this event was that we went to
Benihana. A restaurant where they cook the food in front of you while
doing all these scary tricks. For Example: He juggled knives and he used
onions to create a mountain and then somehow he made it so smoke came
out of it. One time he caught the shrimp’s tail on his hat. At the end
we ordered ice cream for dessert. It was a great meal. I was so full; it
was hard for me to walk!!
One of my
friend named Gabe held a birthday party at a bowling alley. I was really
excited because I have not been bowling for a really long time, possibly
a year. Even though I was not very good, I still enjoyed it a lot. After
we were done bowling, there was a long for us to use. We had pizza and a
choice of Root beer or Sprite or Water, after we played a little while
at the arcade, we had cake.
Before
Thanksgiving, my mom’s friends had a big party. So I got to play with
the other kids that went. There was this one kid named Alex and he
brought WII remotes and so we got to play with them. It was fun. The
party lasted pretty long, maybe ‘till midnight. I enjoyed it a lot.
I also played in a chess tournament. I was playing there to learn. Even though there was prize money I was pretty sure that I would not get any because I was predicted to be 18th and they only gave money to the top 2 and the U1300 section (meaning if your rating is lower than 1300 in USCF you could try to get the prize, I was in this section) I was amazed on how well I did in this 4 and one half out of six! I might get money. But I do not care much about it. The important thing is that I learned from the game I lost.

This month was a
fabulous turkey month this is one
of
my favorite month because I love turkey. It is one of my favorite food
in the world all day and night. I have been dreaming of this day to eat
a juicy turkey. For Thanksgiving, I went to my mom's friend's house we
feasted on food especially turkey. We also played Wii while the parents
talked.
I had a piano recital, the the pieces I played was surfboard bogie and froliking after the recital we ate a great dinner.
Other day, we went to a restaurant called Benihana this is my favorite restaurant because they cook right in front of you and the food is really good. This restaurant is my favorite in the world. This month were the day I dreamed of a turkey.
